Jake-yeah man id like to hear it.

Jhmeg-I couldve but I didn't wanna spend alot on this box. Maybe the next one. I will build two or three boxes for this sub just cause I wAnna experiment with them to see witch one i like more. Next will be a standard ported box with a areo

I hope you don't think I'm trying to be a dick. I'm just thinking out loud, and trying to help. I totaly dig t-lines. Also admire any one who takes on the task of buildig one. I have built a few, and I found them to be great for SPL, but even better for SQ.

T-Lines do sound great and will play very low, but they are not meter friendly at all.

OP, if your trying to get some volume out of that sub, personally I'd do a fourth order or at least a ported box over a T-Line. T-lines have a fantastic response and can play lower than the depths of hell, but its difficult to get loud with a T-line without compromising the very reasons anyone builds a T-line in the first place. You've got plenty of space, do a 4th order.

It's all gone!

Granted not great for meters, but.... from 8 10s slot ported @ 42Hz, 1780 watts, 8 volts input, 151.1dB, to a single 12 in a t-line @ 39Hz, 1100 watts, 4 volts input, and a 148.3dB, I'm pretty happy. However, my SQ is much better. Now, I'm using a single 8, in a t-line, 600 watts, 140dB, and so far the best SQ by far.

I didn't take it that way jhmeg.

Cc- would a 4th order be louder but still have good sq? Same question with a ported box? Personally I like the low notes but really like the ones in the 30hz range better.

4th orders have the same output as a ported enclosure (at its peak frequency), but allows increased output along a wider bandwidth (meaning way more daily friendly). Whereas instead of just a peak at the tuning frequency like ported enclosures. There's a lot more to it than that, I'll send you a PM with the best noob friendly writeup I have seen, you should be able to understand it. 4th orders can be tailored for high SPL number, or can be built for monster low tuned groundpounders. But they make one hell of a daily box, the only drawback is a lot of people don't understand how they work or how to build them. And they take up a lot of space (but not anymore than a T-Line would).

Well I was proud of myself for partially figuring out a t-line. My re t-line sounded really good and was impressed but idk about this one. May just design an 4th order and build it. I may be asking your advice during the designing time as well as Zach (727designs) and I would like to build a awesome ported box aswell for it at some point.

Do you guys think a precision power bp.8 would be good enough to control the freq. going to the 8?

Stick with the Epic 8" dude. Aside from the SA-8 (especially the new V.2) or the JL W7 8" the TC Epic 8" is the best you can buy as far as 8" drivers go. Hit me with a PM, if you have google sketchup installed I can help you with a 4th order free of charge. Cutsheets will cost you though 8)

The bp.8 is a processor. Lol I need something to control the subsonic since my amp doesn't have the setting. Would you recommend this?

The BP.8. Will this thing having the subsonic really help?
