someone1 Posted November 7, 2011 Report Share Posted November 7, 2011 Ok, so this might sound obscene or completely stupid but I would like to know if it can be done. First off, I plan on, eventually, doing a Carputer. So I have a Clarion CZ500 HU that does have a Aux Input on the face of it but not one on on the rear of the deck. I was wondering if there was some way to solder on a second Aux input (to the mobo of the HU), by branching off the main Aux-input, to the Clarion. Now I know this sounds stupid and feel free to criticize but I would like to know if this can be done. I am very familiar with electronics so no worries on soldering, testing, prodding, ect. The main reason I would like to do this is to be able to maintain the front aux free for an Ipod/Mp3/ect and have a Aux input in the back so I can maintain a neat look and not having to unplug and replug the carputer back in the front Aux port. I just would like to know if anyone has done it and/or if anyone knows off the top that it's not to hard to do. I figure I could do continuity test to find where to put the input but that's just a guess. If you need any more info, feel free to ask. Feel free to hate to. I'm open for it.
