ecoli_23 Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 ok so i got a system installed.....the guy didnt make the amp ground very good AT ALL....long story short the amp grounded out and as a result it grounded out my pre-outs and now the shop is out of business and i only have the one option of sending it in to kenwood as i been told....is this truly my only option? something i can fix myself?

danterakin Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 First things first you need to make sure that you have a receipt for the deck and its still within its year because I bought my Kenwood deck new lost receipt and they wouldn't grant me warranty for a 2 month old deck. If you have receipt, just go online and find the closest repair shop and you just need to pay shipping there and you'll get a fixed or replaced deck if your warranty is still good. I live in the Sacramento area and have taken amps and decks to them for repair. They're cost to fix is dependent on the problem, but their prices are fair, especially if you want to keep your equipment and not have to buy new again. They also have a shop in San Diego. They have a bench inside their office to test all the equipment on. They have never done me wrong. I'd strongly suggest into looking at them as an option.
