SPEER419
Hey, What will be a better battery to replace stock. Yellow or red? I see the red has more CCA but they say the yellow is for audio on the optima website. Or if you have any other opinons on a good battery for a 2003 dodge dakota are welcome! I Like It LOWWWW
Derrick824
The red is more for replacing your starting battery but either will work fine. If you plan on playing your stereo for extended time periods with the engine off then get the yellow. Its a deep cycle and will last longer under thsoe conditions. cmrs2k
As I understand it, the first response you got is it. The yellow top doesn't have quite the same ratings as the red, but it is supposed to stand up to the constant discharge/recharge a lot better. That is just what I am told.
