DC lvl 4 15" Voice Coil help!

Wait a sec.....shouldnt you have 4 wires coming from the box and 2 going into the amp? 2 wires from each coil on the sub, then split to 2 wires going into the amp? Seems like you have it backwards, like you are only running off one coil. It's not making any sense that you have it split the way you do.

With 1 sub wired in parallel, you wire the + and + and - and - together and then a + and - running out of the box. That is why you only see 2 wires.

Right....but he has 4 wires going into a mono amp when he only needs 2......thats why I'm wondering if he did something backwards. Am I making sense or is it so late thet my thoughts are fucked up LOL....

One way or the other it works out the same. Nothing I see is done wrong.

Now if he were to have 2 subs and wired each one down to .5ohm by itself and then gave each one a + and - on the amp, he would actually be seeing .25ohm at the amp.

The problem is that if you look up and see the pic of him touching the leads of his dmm together, he has .6 ohms of resistance in the leads that has to be subtracted from the final 1.1 that he is seeing which gives a .5ohm final load.

i don't think there is something wrong 2 ohms speakers wired parallel would give a final load of 1 ohm a 4 ohm speaker would be a final load of 2 ohms

I just checked the coils on the one I bought.both coils read 1 ohm.kinda sucks,I wouldent of bought it if I knew it was d1.so its just not yours bro

Like I just told you in the PM I sent you. Its my fault for not double checking them before I shipped the subs. I sold them for a friend and was told that they were a D2's. My friend isn't a noob so I figured he knew what he was talking about. If you don't want the sub let me know and I will get it taken care of. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Its all good.I told him we should hook it up to my saz 1500s and jus pound the hell out of it and get a d2 recone.but he's just going to look for a different amp.he wasent to upset about it.thanks for trying to make it rite though

Thanks glad that everything worked out. I am kinda mad at myself for not double checking the sub and I am just glad that it didn't bite me in the ass.
