LoudBimmer Posted November 24, 2011 Report Share Posted November 24, 2011 (edited) So i'm doing SPL build in BMW 325i, but not sure if I should go with 2 way system or 3 way. Now, I have stock 3 way front stage and just 6.5 in the back, but I'm upgrading front stage with DD cs6.5 (which is 2 way) and in the the back I'm putting alpine( until I'll get another set of DD) . Is it worth upgrading to 3 way ( getting 4" mid, 3 way active and passive crossover's ect.) or should I just stick with 2 way? Is there any major difference between 2 way and 3 way? Plus two ways can sound just as good or beter than a three way in a similar price range I kind of care about SQ, but mostly going for SPL. As long as it can keep up with bass it should be fine. And what is an active and passive crossover? got other name for it? I dont "name," but something more like a phrase... i would personally call it a "clean sounding setup."
