Im thinking i wanna start looking into doing so performance mods to my 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE 1.8L 4cylinder. i know its not the most sporty car. haha... but its what i got and i really wanna make this a nice car. gonna be working on it for years. (or at least thats the plan). SO my question is, what performance modifications do people start with? And what are the "easier" things I could do to improve my cars performance?

cold air intake, exhaust.

those are basically the only easy things you could do..... maybe a cam cuz its easy to get to..you could try deltacams dot com... but i would if anything drop in a sentra se-R engine (the 2.5 liter) its way quicker than the 1.8l

intake first. I/E/P are like the most common bolt on mods for all cars.

thats cold air intake (or short ram), exhaust and pulleys.

Then you can start doing an intake manifold, throttle body upgrade, some spacers, fuel rail, injectors, headers, some kind of tuning computer... those kinds of things.

major upgrades are internals or boost.

Join the sentra forums and look at the mods they do... You can probably port your throttle body out by yourself with a dremel and a steady hand. That with a CAI will greatly improve throttle response. But yea, easiest are the cold air, exhaust and pulleys.
