If you are planning to upgrade in the future, do 1/0, if not i would do 4ga or 2ga, make sure you fuse it from the alt to batt, you dont want a fire happening.

is his first time and it takes a little bit to jump to 1/0 not to mention the know how of combinations of big amps, batteries, and 1/0 wire so no need for it now. let him play with the 4g for now and let him get the concept of it.

Well, it's cause I found a 0/1 gauge wire amplifier kit for $38, made by Prime, so it may not be real 0 gauge but it's a good start. I do wanna upgrade in the future actually, but I wanna start out with the sub 1st, then see what else happens next.
