srt10ram
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anything ever goes wrong with my new Fi Bl 12in., would it be possible to use an Fi BTL 12in. recone kit. Also, if it were possible, would I be able to get any more performance (More power handling) out of the sub with the BTL recone? Thanks
OldsBoomer
No just use the bl recone it has those parts for a reason Quote Suburban Coming Soon
Dangrebel
The btl coil is longer so no, also it wouldn't be worth the money cause it might just slightly increase power handling. I think the btl motor has different cooling methods I believe. srt10ram
Alright, I was just wondering. The price difference between the BL & BTL re-cones is small and I figured if I blow the BL I could gain a little more performance with the BTL re-cone. One last thing, will my Fully Loaded BL, handle 2000 clean un-clipped watts? It's in a 2.5cu.ft. box @34HZ.

Of course...FI is good for handling over its rated wattage...just make sure its clean and unclipped or else you are asking for thermal failure.
