Shave little pieces on housing and put the projector part In the hole? Or would there be more work then that? It says 9006/9005 Mountong/alignment Projector bases, does that pretty much mean what Steve did? Edited December 2, 2011 by matt3477
audio1der
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/index.php Read. Learn. Enjoy your lights instead of being frsutrated with them. Unless you've modded headlight housings before, I'd suggest leaving it to a pro, but that's me (and I've taken my housings apart to black them out). Having a nice clean set of housing which have a proper adjustable aim and level, even projectors are difficult. Glad you're looking at projectors, though. People with HID kits in reflector-based housings should be caned for blinding the rest of us. There's a reason no OEM setups use this method anymore (and only a couple ever tried) [Rant off] -Audio Quote Big 3 with 1/0 welding cable, dual runs of 1/0 and 2gua F-R DD 2512 D2 powered by Audioque 1200d at 1ohm, 2.5ft^3 ported to 36Hz Boston SX 6.0 comps powered by Phoenix Gold M50 for front stage Silver Flute 8" midbass in doors powered by Alpine 3539 Alpine CDA-117 HU
matt3477
I was asking if it was like Steve's because he showed on his video you put the projector through the old light bulb hole, screw it in, and pretty much done. If it's like that then it should be no problem.
m1dg3thunt3r
depending on where you live, it looks like those projectors are eurospec because of the cutoff that goes at an angle. i have some on my passat and theyre good but they technicaly are illegal, so if you have a state inspection that checks thatm you might wanna be careful. matt3477
what about these? http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=227 what if I get a car that I can just buy projector headlights for instead of retrofitting. Would inspection still complain? if so I'll just put the old headlights in when its time for inspection.(every 2 years) Edited December 3, 2011 by matt3477

m1dg3thunt3r
unless theyre dot approved theyre probably illegal, technially even modifying stock lights is illegal, i saw that somewhere but i highly doubt anyone will say anything. what kind of car do you have? matt3477
I was thinking about doing the headlights in the 2001 olds intrigue I drive, but its my moms car that she said I could have so if I buy it from here then I'll be able to do it, unless I just buy a truck and buy projector lights for it and not retrofit
