Official SMD Rig Gallery

Recommended Posts

I thought that it might be a good idea to consolidate threads showing off users' custom rigs into one thread- I'm a member over at Guru3D and they have a similar thing. It would be neat to have that over here, with our crowd. I'll start it off!

First things first:

Modded Cooler Master MicroATX...I stuffed a lot in there.

Intel E8500 @4.13GHz

DFI LANPARTY JR P45-T2RS (a rare little motherboard)

4GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066

Silverstone Strider 700W PSU

WD VelociRaptor 300GB

ASUS Xonar D1 sound card

Vanilla 8800GTX (aging, but does its job at 1680x1050)

Next up...

Apple PowerMac G4 Quicksilver 867MHz

OWC 1.2GHz G4 upgrade

1.5GB DDR400(?) lol

ATI Radeon 9200

160GB Seagate

Pioneer DVD burner

USB 2.0 PCI card...damn thing has 1.1 standard

Custom paint (Dodge Inferno Red + pinstripes)

Pics were taken the day of pinstriping, so there are of course fingerprints and smudges.

Love the case (huge fan of NZXT )

BUT you need a cooler for that CPU! You've got one of the best socket 1155 motherboards and CPU's for overclocking and you're running st stock speeds? MOAR POWAH! The all-in-one liquid coolers are a great performance to noise ratio if you're looking for a good cooling option.

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

im going with the Artic Cooler - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134

did my research and for the price range it has the best cooling ability, most cubic fpm and a nice sized heatsink.

a fan of NZXT huh? well heres a look into my stage three...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146074 (some version of this, dont know what color scheme i want to go with.)

along with one more of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130657&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo

and a 6-125gb SSD and a 1-2tb 7200+rpm HDD

and stage 2...

one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130657&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&PageSize=10&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&IsFeedbackTab=true#scrollFullInfo

and a machanical keyboard looking at this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823114012

and some fans.

after everything is installed and SLI is running i should have no issues running anything i can think of on one monitor and watch movies/ tv shows on another. at the same time... :wackit3:
