Need help building a pc

AMD is pretty reliable.. rarely do processors fail unless you are overclocking them to the extreme without adequate cooling. Something else could have been the reason for the failure cheap psu, mobo, ram, etc.

I have been running three 1055T's and one 1090T overclocked to 4.0 ghz+ for roughly the past two years nonstop 24/7 for crunching/wcg. 100 percent load on each one.. none of them have failed on me yet. Again there are many other factors involved, but I didn't skimp out on any of the parts.

Forgot to mention, this is replacing a netbook. Yes, a netbook. I currently have a netbook running 24/7, running my torrents and mirc bot. It won't run the Minecraft server, though. But yeah, pretty much anything is an upgrade from that thing... Lol

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

Hey guys just a quick update.

I've decided this will also be a gaming machine, so I'm gonna up the specs a bit.

Her name is Boží, by the way.

Anyway, here's "Phase I"

EVGA Z68 motherboard - $209.99

EVGA GT520 1GB - 59.99

Intel i5-2500K - $219.99

G.SKILL Ripjaw 8GB DDR3 1600 - $43.99

Samsung basic CD/DVD - $16.99

Western Digital 320GB HDD - Free

Rosewill Xtreme RX850-S-B - $99.99

Velocity Micro case - $100

Total - $750.94

Then, as I get more money, I'll be updating to "Phase II," which isn't much different just a few things here and there. When all the pieces of Phase II are acquired, I'll backup things I want to keep, then reinstall the entire OS, installing Windows on the SSD.

EVGA Z68 motherboard - $209.99

EVGA SuperClocked GTX 560 - 199.99

Intel i7-2600K - $319.99

Artic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU Cooler- $49.99

Samsung 830 64GB SSD - $169.99

Western Digital 2TB HDD - ~$150

G.SKILL Ripjaw 8GB DDR3 1600 (x2) - $87.98

LG BluRay Reader/Writer - $69.99

Samsung basic CD/DVD - $16.99

Velocity Micro case - $100

Total - $1374.91

And since I'm using some of the components from Phase I on Phase II, the actual amount I'll spend on Phase II will be 903.95. Hopefully I can sell off some of the used components to offset the price, or maybe build a backup computer? :P

Anyway, yeah. Just posting this here.

I'll be posting pictures and whatnot along the way.

I'll get pics when I pick her up. It's got a locking front door, side window, and some other cool stuff. I can get it relatively discounted since I work for Velocity. All aluminum, and since I've been building them, I'm already fairly familiar with the best tricks to hide wires the best.

Here's the stock photos from our site:

I hope to be getting it in black though.
