thanks its gone. I installed the alt and the pulley doesn't fit. The belt is too loose. I'm pretty ticked off about this whole thing, mechman should have put the correct pulley on it. Now I'm screwed bc my car squeals bc the belt slips when I start it and looks like its nearly about to wobble off. I also couldnt even put the alternator in, I had to grind down the damn thing an 1/8 of an inch to fit on the stock bracket. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Man, sucks to hear about your alt issues. There are so many things to go wrong though- clearances are tight and belts tend to get really freakin' long or short when geometries are changed up. Hope you are able to get that straight soon.

On a different note: I really dig your Sail Panel Tweeters and your kick pods you are working on. Stuff is TIGHT!!

Thanks Colin, it will all get resolved just really shitty having to go through the grind especially when you pay alot of money for a product that doesnt work as planned.

Damn,... Sorry bro,...

I know exactly how ya feel. What a drag. Have you discussed with MECHMAN & Is there a repair or fix that can be done?? Is it because of the smaller over drive pulley they use, now the serp belt has slack?? Or what is the issue exacly? I was really anxious for ya to have that in and running . Sorry bud... Keep us informed and GL

I contacted mechman they said just get a new serpentine belt. I'm pretty pissed off, I paid good money for an alternator that was suppose to be an OEM replacement and I don't make a lot of money. Now I have to spend another $50 for a custom belt that fits my NON oem pulley system or else my belt will continue slipping. Idk what to do, just have to save a few bucks and hope for the best. This puts my Zv3's on hold now even longer. Honestly I think they should pay for my serpentine belt because I directly asked them if it was an oem fit and that I'm strapped on cash and was forced to buy mechman bc of my old alternator situation.

I sent michael an e-mail we'll see what he says.

Well itjogjt everything was fine but driving he the belt was slipping like crazy with the ac on even at the lowest level. So I'll either need a new pulley or a new belt FML. H/O alternators honestly suck dick... Such an expensive thing to do, over $600 now in this shit.
