Just wanted to copy this here bc Omega asked about glassing

since you're painting it's alot more work bc you want to get the surface super smooth.

Head over to sherman williams and find out where their autobody store is that has all the body work material

what you need:

• Resin/polyester or epoxy works I like epoxy resin but its much more expensive
  
• Fiberglass mat, nothing super thick if you tell them what you need they'll kno
  
• Light weight Body filler (NOT BONDO) its going to look like this

• 1" and 1.5" and 2" brushes to apply the resin
  
• Throw away gloves protect your hands
  
• A mask for cutting the mat and apply the resin
  
• Fleece to wrap your thing (NO COTTON lol it sucks)
  
• CA Glue, hot glue, or staples to hold stuff the foundation and the fleece
  
• Sand paper (Use an orbital or palm sander saves you LOTS of time)
  Grit 40 or lower to begin with I like 24-30 if you're using your hand
  Then move to 100. Gonna apply body filler here and smooth it out. Then go to 150, 220, 600, 800, 800 wet, 1500 wet to finish.
  
• Take your time to figure it out

Just to add a couple of tricks when finishing the glassing.

Oh and to add when you're frustrated or sanding or just want to see it in one color instead of filler/fleece/mat spray a coat of primer on it, it'll show you where you need to sand then continue sanding that area until the primer is gone, that will assure you a smooth finish. Another trick is to use filler primer which helps the pin holes. Then sand it back smooth, I waited to lay a coat of actually paint until it was super smooth after the primer and a wet 1000-1500 grit sand. Then paint and clear coat as much as ur heart desires until you get the finish ur looking for.

The kicks them selves are very durable so I can't imagine them breaking but u never kno

Then started wiring quick disconnects just incase I change wires or need to remove the kicks.

Then I stared installing them, and I am stoked with out flush they came out and the vinyl I chose fits perfect with the interior.
