Box looks good so far, I've always loved the kerf look maybe ill do it on my next box, just never really understood on what size sheet it is, in assuming you just add the length of your front baffle and the port wall? Like say the front alone is 30", and your first port wall is 12" say, a normal box you'd make 2 cuts but a kerf you'd just add them right and in this case just make a single cut 42" long (in this case) right? Instead of having 2 peices

yeah the total length of my front piece is 63 inches.

thats bigger than it looks then.

it would be 4 net but the Z's motor is almost .5 cubes

Yeah, I heard the Z's don't need that big of a box.

I hope so, I went with bigger port smaller box this time. Instead of bigger box smaller port

that's 412cvx's design but I tweaked his original design a little and I asked jacob, caco, smd, friends, tim at audiotistics, everyone just to confirm it's a good design.

I unfortunately cannot kerf the back piece and I can't kerf right inside of the port since I'm staining the wood. But I do not think a 45 will result in a huge loss of out put instead of a kerf

What distance did you use between cuts on the kerfs? Like an inch or so? And how do you know exactly how many to do

If I remember right, you need 12 kerfs in order to get the proper "bend" for a 90 degree bend. The kerfs are evenly spaced inside the circumference of the bend.
