Nice touch with rounding the inside and outside of the ring. A lot of people don't know about that. Those are really going to like that touch, which means you'll really like it in the end! Nicely done! Not sure I like that much of the amp being covered, but that's me. Seems like it takes alot of look away from the amp. I'll wait to see more before I say anymore on it. Do your thing man, I'm enjoying this fully!

cool shit. did you cut out that amp trim panel with a jig saw? Cant wait for the glassing to begin!

Table saw/jig saw/ table router lol.

Cut the outside with table saw, roughly jig the inside so the router doesn't have to do too much work and nothing gets bound up. Then I used a flush trim bit and I screwed flat pieces of wood to make a guide before I put the piece on the router.

Then route it out and voila!

RED- Note to Alpine: almost every amplifier is built on a PCB

PURPLE- Nothing missing here, plenty of devices in the power supply.

BLUE- Quite a lot of capacitance for the power rating. Pass!

YELLOW- High quality pots, gotta love noise-free fine adjustment.

PINK- My favorite set of switches on earth! Missing on almost every amp today is the ability to bypass/disable crossovers, EQ functions, etc.

GREEN- This output stage is stupid clean. You can look right at it and tell the channels apart, this amp must have a very clean high-end.

RED- Excellent isolation here, the output stage is on another PCB and shielding was added between them allowing for just the necessary wiring to get through. Smart.

YELLOW- Once again I see plenty of devices working in the power supply to keep up with current demands. Bueno.

BLUE- There appears to be more output devices than necessary to reach rated power, always good when a manufacturer purposely builds the output section up to offer headroom.

PURPLE- More high-quality pots, if my vision doesn't deceive me.

GREEN- Line level inputs on the output side! Great for keeping the signal path within the amp short to cut back on noise.

PINK- Markings for my own reference. I was noting where the windings started and stopped on those transformers, I believe they are for isolation as well but don't quote me on it.

Thanks so much for pointing that out and the review 8ight, I dont know much about boards so thanks for explaining. I started reading your post but it got a tad over whelming. BTW these are Chinese boards haha, but I guess it's still when people cared alot about their products no matter where they manufactured them.
