Lmao I feel ya bro, I believe most of the cost is for how difficult these paints are compared to a traditional base/clear paint jobs.But also the items needed are pricier and there is more of them, so it all adds up to a big bill. Question: Are you getting your rims done at a shop, or is it someone you know that paints? someone that I know that paints. He has done a ton of flip flop pearl jobs. Never tried to give it texture before but hes going to spray a test panel and go from there. Because there are some shops that wont touch pearls and if they do and they're not used to doing them they end up being bltchy & uneven, but you should be Fine. Dont forget to post pics of that test panel whenever he does it!

If I sprayed the pearl over the black base and did a candy green would it have the same effect as the red? Where it looked dark and then when the light hit it, it popped a bright candy green? I think I want to go that route now Yeah, thats exactly what would happen.That green would be a very dark green in the shade and a bright lighter tone in the sunlight!
