I have a 79 350 dana 60 in my back yard lol. Same as a 44, and ford 9in. But i would suggest a 14 bolt, or a 60 kingpin. Do a high steer too so everything isnt so out of wack. I went through that link from the other site one of you posted and all I could think about was a big as lift on my truck with big ass tires. My wife was wondering why I had a huge smile on my face. I just said, it's nothing honey!! LOL!! She probably thought I was looking at porn or something..........................well I guess I kind of was, but it was truck porn not naked women! I cannot wait to see you get started on this! I have a question, what is the 4 link thing you were talking about. My truck has leaf springs also, not coil springs, and someone else was talking about linking something and doing coils. I have no idea what they're talking about, and then I saw you mention it. A four link is is basically coil sptings and a strut on top of the axle to hold your truck up instead of leaf springs or an ifs etc. Its called a four link cause there is four control arms that mount to the axle and to the frame to keep the axle straight. It gives better articulation and ride. Basically like the front end of a late 90's dodge front end. But you do it to bothe the front and the rear. Just google it, there are alot of articles on how to do it. It looks a lot harder than it is. Getting trucks in the air is simple, its the steering that can become difficult.

Really looking forward to the suspension build man! im not a suspension person so this should be fun lol gonna learn a lot on this suspension build lol ********if anyone knows were i can find a 78-79 dana 60 from an f-350 i want it lol any condition is fine i will rebuild it if need be. here is the front axle you want. you'll be paying out the ass for it. http://www.reno4x4.c...-D60-front-axle you are going to need alot of shit to get this done. crossover steering, brakes, brake lines,gears front and rear, i'd recommend 5.38's. leaf springs, are you making your own brackets, or are you going to buy a kit? if you want to look at my truck, i'm less than 5 min. from dc. also just a heads up, you will be getting harrassed by the nhp for being that big. 3/4 and 1 ton trucks cant be any higher than 32" from the lowest part of the body,not the frame. thanks for the input man. im not an expert at this suspension shit. but yes i understand the gravity of the situation i am getting myself into. ive been planning this lift for probably 2 years so ive done the research and know every last part that i need. none the less i would like to look at your truck sometime because ive seen pics of them and what not but seeing it in person is another animal. im going to look at another SAS chevy sunday where he supposedly used a chevy 60 with a clocking kit and made it work so thatll save me some serious money on the front end and its way easy to find in comparison to the ford 60. there is a junkyard up off of parr blvd.thats where i got my hp 44. they had a hp 60 there last time for a grand. If you ever see one it has been custom built with aftermarket knuckles and shafts. So pretty much the only thing "stock" about it is the center section. The gears would also spin in reverse which makes them a little weaker. A 14 bolt rear and Dana 60 front is very common and should perform fine. thats what i thought lol or id already have my eye on that shit! thats what i figure imma do or something along those lines. on another note in SAC at a show today i got to drive a chevy with a linked front and rear on 16" lift and some worn ass 41"s and it was upppp there lol kind of shitty to turn cause it rubbed on the outside links but it didnt ride as well as i had expected for a 4 link. other than that i was happy with the view from up there im ready for it. also got to stand under it and look at how they did everything which was very helpful even though mine wont be linked looking at another truck tomorrow then ill be on a mission to try to get my hands on an axle this week at some point.
