Personally I think it is VERY lacking-we need more categories.

Some folks will vote on a trashy lookin ride, w/ crap everywhere, wires showing and no attn to detail JUST because it's the loudest.

Others will vote on a nice clean setup with 2-8's off 300watts because it was executed flawlessly and looks great but we all know it wont break a 130db.

Everyone has their priorities and specialties in building these setups and without more categories it's like every man for himself but it's not an apples to apples, oranges/oranges comparison.

That, and having every one in the same group kinda lends itself to a popularity contest where merit isnt even considered-if you only have one vote, and you have a BFF that wants to win badly you might just give him ur vote regardless of if his setup is "the OVERALL best" which is what the prize is as of right now.

imo it does seem like a popularity contest, but every system that has won has been Way WAY above your normal everyday system, its not like some ghetto fab installs are winning system of the month ( you may disagree but I could say you might have hurt feelins for not winning, I dont feel that way but someone could definitly try and prove that theory)

I didnt even want to be nominated for BLK SIN, becuase I felt like people would vote for me because of who I am ( Steve's buddy and Admin of the Site) the install is nice, I really like it but, I am man enough to say that Master Coogle's shit BLOWS me and my install out of the water ( I voted for him by the way in october))

so I agree and disagree, maybee after this yr is up we can rethink or expand on this.

Agree that it does seem like a popularity contest some times, Agree it COULD look like I feel butthurt bout not winning-however thats not the case-If I EVER thought I deserved THE WIN I would vote for my own nomination or nominate it to begin with but so far I have seen other folks (Master coogle, Big oki, Roscoe, Pstone) that all deserve it as much or more than I ever have so I've always voted for THE BEST OVERALL. It just feels really limiting to only have one category considered.

If I ever felt butthurt, it was seeing something LOUD get the vote over a setup I had in the runnings that was better OVERALL as in maybe not = loud db for db but blows it away install wise. I take a lotta care in the cleanliness of my builds wherever possible-I think to win overall it should be loud and clean not just one OR the other. A big, insanely loud mdf box does not trump a moderately loud painted/ Fglass/plexi with neon setup IMO.

I can see some of my installs I (me) think SHOULD be nominated but are not, and thats fine, if they aren't what you guys like thats up to yall as a community I will continue to do work and post it. Unless there were NO installs in there-I'd never nominate myself and if so I would do it jokingly/mockingly to get folks to wake up and nominate some other setups or build something worthy.

IMO about this ......

I have spent 30 gz on my car, It is complete from head to toe, I did the whole setup from screens to the music to the pop trunk, 5th wheel, and port design.

Hell my car even has kandy paint, but I really dont give an ish about losing to others, cuz my car is a texas slab, and most people dont appreciate what it took to make that car what it is... Oh well...... If I ever want to get a month, I need more friends on here and build a common setup that everyone can relate to liking....

My all kicker setup does not have wires showing everywhere, and its done to show in car shows, I do not care that others want to vote for friends that have less than what I have, to me I think my system is the shit, and in my mind I am a winner, selective voting or not...

So it really dont matter what you have done up in your car, its all about appealing to the likes of the members of this board to catch a vote, and my styles are alot different than alot of people on here, so I'm not butt hurt either..

lsn u do bad ass work so dont let not having the top votes get to you, hell all the average fools cant even do what we do, so look at it from that perspective

LSN2ME, I dont think your feelings are hurt 1 bit, I agree with BG you do some badass work, I really liked the maxima install.

I dont think we have enough entries to break it up at this point thats why I say maybee down the road we can improve it or redifine it.
