disturbed471985 Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 I am about to buy some speakers and I have the following wiring option either a .67ohm load or a 1.34ohm load. My amp is a DB Drive A7 2000.1 and is rated at 2k@1ohm. Would it be best for me to go with the option to wire amp @1.34ohm or will wiring the amp at .67 be ok? I would think .67 would be fine as with box rise and all I will be well above a 1ohm load. What do yall think? I would like to get as much out of the amp as possible but I want to do it safely. I have that electrical to support the amp 180amp alt and 1 group 31 as well as the starter battery.

If it can't run it, You can run it as 1.34 Ohms then, which with rise, you'll prob see 2 Ohms. disturbed471985 Posted December 8, 2011 Author Report Posted December 8, 2011 ^^^^ thats the issue it is either or If I run at .67 ohm I will be buying 3 dual 4ohm subs if I run at 1.34 I would get 3 dual 2ohm subs. So once I buy there is no turning back.
RooTxBeeR Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 With the dual 4's you have the option of 2.7 ohms, and the .67. As for the Dual 2's you got 1.3 and 3 ohms. I don't got enough experience in this anymore to help you out more than I have, gl though on getting it all to work out. bassahaulic Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 The A-side amplifier will run below 1ohm with ease. I had two A7 1,500's running at .4ohm each daily. Never had issues.
