99 Monte Carlo, 2 12's, Rear Deck

First off, this is my first post, but i have been lurking for a quite a while. I figured I would post this up. Its not quite finished, but its all playing and sounds good for what it is.

I know the equipment is very low end compared to what most people here use, but I did this for my brother for free, so no need to spend a lot.

The Car.

Start off.

Got the rear deck out (its like thin cardboard) and set the speaker rings and glued spacers where needed.

Stretched fleece, i'm by no means a fiberglass expert, ive just done it a few times.

First layer of fiberglass, over all took quite a bit, since im still on the home depot stuff ha.

Ryobi 0ne+ system ftw. (the small holes are form the old 6x9's which are being relocated)

More glass, and sanding.

I must not have gotten a pic, but I only used body filler with hair, so it never was very smooth, but a lot smoother than pictured. and I filled in the gaps between the speaker rings and the old deck with fiberglass.

Getting the amp mounted

4 gauge to 8 gauge d-block. amp is an old alpine, 75x2 watts, 25 amp fuse.

Stock carpet cut and back in, i will carpet the MDF and build a cover piece for the amp rack, but havnt go to it yet.

That's a cool idea man. I've only seen this kinda thing a couple times. Did you just use great stuff to seal up the edges of the box? I'm on mobile so pics are kinda hard to see

I agree, I havn't seen it pulled off very good before, I could have done a few things better, but i'm satisfied.

the great stuff gapped the rear deck to the metal, i caulked the inside corners of the box. I then used resin to go over the foam.

I had the amp spare, its a good amp though, I would put it up against any 500-800 watt shit amp anyday.
