D-train-13k Posted July 17, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 17, 2012 well its been quite a while since ive been able to work on the truck havent done much. but one of the xls blew so im currently working on trying to fix that. money has been super tight. cut shifts at work so theres no extra money to play with. got the new pwx's installed in the back wall and they helped with the mids and highs alot. probly going to get some super tweeters in the back as well. anyways. heres some pictures. also i was able to reinforce the front baffle wall with some square aluminum tubing. pretty much all the flex in the front is gone now. as well as the flex on the back wall. just have to fix the sub and then some slight changes to the sealed side of the wall. then were rolling onto making it look nice. this is the xl. basically the surround came off the former trying to fix it using some AR cone and lots of CA glue. probly will end up having to buy a recone but i figured this would work. heres the back wall and the tube. anyways its not running at the moment. and my girl has had my computer for several months. just getting on it today. try to get more stuff going soon. im tired of seeing it not finished. love to see yalls feed back. thanks The IrishmanCheck out my build hereXL 4th order wall build logIn Progress:alpine cda HU4th order Bandpass2xl 15's1- ab 400.1 (gonna be two hopefully)4- Crescendo 8's2- xts crecendo supertweeters 2 sq super tweetsMb quart 4.125Mechman 270a alt1- xs D27003- xs XP3000 4- odessey pc1700seller feed back threadhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/136418-d-train-13k/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
D-train-13k Posted July 29, 2012 Author Report Share Posted July 29, 2012 well i got the sub running. plays nicely i have some testing to do though. kinda feeling like i do have too much port so im going to drop down from 27per to about 22 per and see what kind of a difference that will make output wise. if anyone has any suggestions port wise id love to hear them. tuning will drop from 44hz to 40hz in the process btw. so maybe more lows ?
