How do i have bad rep??

Anyways, this question was been asked before, the reputation system on any forums (audio and non audio related) are usually never used correctly, but more as a popularity contest. People give +Positive rep to those they like, and -Negative rep to those they don't (even if that person who received -negative rep had made a great point. Like this post here)

Ive seen threads before and people asked why it works for some and not for others. I always wondered myself why I could never give rep on a person post. Once I became a supporting member (bronze, silver, or gold) I noticed I was able to give rep, so it is one of the bonus feature you get when you purchase a supporting member package.

I think this also works for SOTM Winners, but please don't quote me on that.

Keep in mind that it is not a instant thing thing, so once you have made your payment, and Steve has acknowledged it being sent, he will then have to go into your profile settings and check the option that you have purchased. So anyways how it works is when a user clicks the + or - in the lower right hand corner of a users post it generates you reputation which you can view when your looking at your profile, or another members profile. If a question is asked and another forum member answers the post and answers your question give them +Positive rep, if they answer your question with some idiotic thing that isnt even close to being correct give them a -Negative mark.

But like I said above its, just a popularity contest on almost any forum with this feature.

Below is a screen shot of where the + and - circular buttons are to rep or unrep a person, as well as what it would look like when you or anyone else views your profile.
