Wire insulation heat resistant

Recommended Posts

Powerwerx.com 1/0 welding wire is heat resistant up to 105°c

Weldingsupply.com welding wire is resistant up to 90°c

KNU & stinger(HPM) are at 105°c

Would the 90°c welding wire from welding supply be fine for my 4 runs and big 3. I've heard that the insulation need to be resistant enough to run near any heated engine areas so that wire doesn't melt or become compromised.

well thats 194°f, so I would say its fine, just make sure you put a wire loom or something around it just for safety. just try and zip tie or whatever you will do to it and keep it from touching anything really hot.

Aslong as it dosent make actual contact with anything hot in the engine I would image it would be fine..
