LoudBimmer
Can I hook up my selenium st200 super tweeters to DD crossover instead of DD tweeter? Or would I need to purchase a seperate crossover for it? As of amp, 6.5 and super tweeter will be ran off sundown sax100.4D. ( DD 6.5 in the front and alpine in the back)
EBW
If their 2 way crossovers single input dual output ( one for tweeter one for mid driver )or a single crossover for the type of driver your using then yes a crossover is a crossover, but the frequency range is what differs from different brands and models Edited December 23, 2011 by EBW Quote Kenwood KIV-BT900 Front Stage RF 400-4 Runs off dedicated 4 awg ofc RE 6.5 125.5. How much power will they roughly see?
Freshman6969
i think you need an 8ohm cross over Quote Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! LoudBimmer
i think you need an 8ohm cross over so I would need another amp to run them? Or I can just hook them up to same channel with DD cross over
Decaf
if the dd tweet was 4ohm, when u connect an 8ohm speaker the crossover point will drop by one octave. in other words, 4ohm@2500hz is 8ohm@1250hz
LoudBimmer
I talked to my dad and we decided to run left door ( DD 6.5 and DD tweeter) to 1st channel, right door (DD 6.5 and DD tweeter) to 2nd channel, in the back ( 2 alpine 6.5 @ 2 ohms) to 3rd channel and selenium tweeters we'll run @ 4 ohms with seperate cross over to 4th channel. With this set up each speaker should see their rated power and seleniums will see 50wrms.
