audiofanaticz
it will work. just use a primer base first for best results, or you may go thru a lot of cans!!
Relyks
what type of primer. Quote --> My Toyota Build Link / AudioQue Build . <-- Latest Update 1/16/
audiofanaticz
I would use whatever brand primer matches the brand of bedliner. If its rustolium bedliner, use rustolium primer. Sometimes mixing different brands of paint can cause a chemical reaction, so this is why you should use the same brand. MDF will soak up paint like a BI*CH! The primer will act as a good first sealing coat, resulting in less paint needed. Tho if the bedliner is thicker, it may not be too bad without primer. Relyks
thicker is why i had asked lol which you would think it would be considering its bed liner? LoudBimmer
I tried paint with primer in it and it still took me about 3-4 layers of it.

POPLERO
I just did my mdf box with rustoleum bed liner (about 9 bucks a can) and did not use any base coat. I used about 2 1/2 cans for full coverage including port. This brand bedliner tends to be good stuff but THIN, which when I was planning on doing mine wanted thinker stuff. Either way I liked the stuff but since I kind of wanted more texture to it, I might stone coat it black a little later..
