96Blazer
I just bought an Alpine CDA-117 and am wondering what the issue is with the "slow USB" I hear people talk about. Is this only with dealing with flash drives or is it just using the USB port at all? I was originally planning on using a hard drive hooked up to the rear USB port but I am wondering if this is going to end up being too slow?... Input from CDA-117 owners would be wonderful Quote 2001 GMC Jimmy SLE 4X4 Floor Shift AutoHeadunit - Alpine CDA-117Front Door Speakers - Alpine SPS-600C MidsRear Door Speakers - NoneDash Speakers - Alpine SPS-600C TweetersSub Amp - Rockford Fosgate T4002Mids+Highs Amp - Rockford Fosgate P4004Subwoofer - P3D215 Fosgate Punch 15Sub Box - Rockford Fosgate designed "powerful" ported box Built by myself i would rather run cheaper but sexier then expensive and fucking ugly. 96Blazer
Mine was slow at first but after an ipod touch firmware update it's been fine And update on the ipod it self? Just like one of the regular ipod updates they have right? Not an update with the HU itself... Autruche
Granted I do not run the same head unit, but I had an issue with my USB drive taking forever to load on my Clarion head unit. I copied the data off of my flash drive and formatted it from an NTFS file system to a FAT32 system and now it works pretty quick. Perhaps you could try it with different file systems on it?
