Brandon15zzz
Isn't WSF a bunch of cheaters anyway? From what ive heard yes. What I've seen not really just seem they may ignore a rule if it's there teammates. 9515ROB
rule aint going to bother me. I got to run m5 because i dont think i can squeeze 28k in 315amps of fusing. But it does suck for them guys that have built there car around a certain class and now there amp might not be allowed this year. I dont see why they put a power restriction on it anyway. Thats what the whole fusing thing is for. - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF
Brandon15zzz
^^^ sort of but my teammate ran in as1 last season and burped his Stetsom 11k2d on 30 amps of fusing and did a 146.7 I believe it's the loudest as1 score ever so far. I ran my 2 4500's in as1 last year. So the fuse rule doesn't always work properly. Punkeyboozter
Easy just buy some shit china fuses that dont poP until they are on fire. Problem solved Loudness is no substitute for musicianship, and partial deafness is no badge of honor. I was once able to hear this advice. kr15
Luis your good because they go off manufacturer rated power to sub, and your well below 1500w... sort of but my teammate ran in as1 last season and burped his Stetsom 11k2d on 30 amps of fusing and did a 146.7 I believe it's the loudest as1 score ever so far. I ran my 2 4500's in as1 last year. So the fuse rule doesn't always work properly. thats just retarded, and thats why i support the change..I won Cali as1 title running a single 12 in a trunk off 2k, I did 142.2 which was pretty decent, but no way I could compete with what your teammate did. So for competitions sake, I like it because it will tighten up classes. That being said, loud people will still be loud and retards will still be retards, so it doesnt change much. Only difference is now instead of manipulating fuses, we will manipulate amp ratings as well..For example, some teammates and I were discussing earlier an amp that ONLY has a 4ohm rating, and that rating makes it eligible for any "1" class, yet the amp does close to 5k....but this rule makes competition more equal because Joe Novice is running a 1500w Hitron amp that really does 100w and Joe Pro is running a 1500w cheater amp that does 5k Team Flex Issues Low tuning > God 2011 CALI AS1 STATE CHAMP
jg23
i was in the process of a s2 build, but I can no longer run my build in s2. I will not go purchase different amp(s) to fit into s2..i have no clue what im doing now, but i know it includes not competing any time soon because its back to the drawing board... i dont have a huge complaint against the rule change tho, it will make the 1, 2 and 3 class funner. My complaint is that there should have been warning, so we could have spent the offseason planning builds accordingly Same here I was planning for s3 but now I can't do s2 or s3. I agree with you I kinda like the idea but a warning would have been nice before I bought 2 aq 3500s 2008 TahoeHU-PioneerMids/Highs amp- sundown 200.4Mids/Highs- hertz xls, hertz ml 700, audison voce tweetsAmp-2 AQ 3500sSubs-FI SP418sAlt-singer 350Big 3 1/0 Build Log UBL My YouTube channel
Brandon15zzz
Well before i bought the 4500's for finals I did a 143.3 out of trunk( not sealed all firing back) with a 15" xl and a hfi2000. Then I would have dropped in the 4500's probably would have easily done a 45-46. It's all good my teammate has 1500 watt amps that are pretty much cheater amps. I'll probably run one or 2 of them if I end up doing MECA this year and if I want to run s1 or s2 Vehicle: 1995 Impala SSHead Unit: Pioneer AVH-P4400BHMids And Highs: (still deciding)Batteries: 1 Deka Group 34 Time to make a race car.My Build Log: Solo X 12"http://www.stevemead...don15zzz-build/My Build Log: DC lvl 4 xl 15"http://www.stevemead...don15zzz-build-My Wall Build Log: 4 Lanzar 15's/ 3k+ RMShttp://www.stevemead...t-by-techforce/My Feedback:http://www.stevemead...
kr15
^ exactly, for people in the know, the rule change doesnt do much because we will just run specific amps. And in actuality, that might HURT new entrants. How do you tell Joe Novice that he lost by 10db even tho he is running the same power amp as Joe Pro? But i do agree with the intent, but a warning would have been nice. Sure, I could move up to s3, but I already have 2 team mates in that class and the way I planned my build would NOT have been competitive for s3. So simply taking my setup and "moving up to a higher class" isnt exactly viable at this point. Brandon15zzz
Yea I have 2 15's now so if I run a 1 class I can use 5 amps or 60 amps for a 2 class I'll probably do a 1 class.
