FranklinTavarez
Im just confused about using more than 1 run of 0 gauge or 2/0+ gauge. Do you have to use multiple distribution blocks? Where do you buy fuse holders and distribution blocks that accept 2/0+ gauge and higher? And what's better to do more than 1 run of 0 gauge or a single run of 2/0 gauge? AMI CUSTOMS
Well what is the current demand? Why run more then a wire rated at 300 amps if it isn't needed is the point. FranklinTavarez
I'm not sure how to calculate my amp demand. Isn't it just the rms x the current voltage? If so then I'd be running more than 300 amps. I Just want to do everything right the first time. So I don't have to rip apart my car again and do everything a second time. n8ball2013
most of us that do multiple runs go directly to a seperate battery bank in the rear and from there to the amps. Awesome thanks man! And I'm not completely decided on what amps to use as of just yet so it's hard to determine my effeciency correctly. Thanks for the rockford link it's very helpful! splmark
Even if u draw 275 amps and ur wire is rated at 300 you will have less voltage drop with more/thicker wire. Its not much but it does help. Any distribution block that has a ring terminal can take larger wire "if ur not using a 2ed battery Edited December 31, 2011 by splmark Quote http://www.termpro.com/dbdrag/memberalbum/34416a0.jpg
