I was thinking that maybe while you tune your amp to not distort at 40 hz, if you were to play a 35 or 50 hz tone, could it distort? *edit* If it feels like I'm bashing on the dd1, that's not what I'm tryin to do, I'm actually planning on buyin one soon, but I was just curious about the whole distortion thing

SkylarDunn Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 If you're concerned about that, buy an oscilloscope & signal generator, and do a 2 hour long sweep with a screwdriver on your gain knob. All music these days has distortion, so keep that in mind. Your amp settings can be golden, and you could still get buckets of distortion. Getting bass into the cabin of a W124 mercedes is impossible. Current setup: Temp 1999 panasonic HU rockford 300.2 for fronts rockford 200.2 for rears rockford 400.1 for sub Leaning towards a 8" in an exponential horn DAMN YOU GERMANS AND YOUR 5" SPEAKERS!
