RichardJones
Fellas, I need help. I'm new to the forum and the car audio game. I have a 1 JL 12W7 (3 ohm) in a ported box (JL Spec) going into my 2011 Nissan Maxima. I need a decent amp to push it thats not going to break my wallet if you know what I mean. Currently have 1 Kicker 12 Comp VR running off a Kicker ZX 500.1 and I have Kicker 6X9's in the rear deck and my front doors memphis MC tweets in the dash and Diamond Audio's in my rear doors running on a Kicker ZX 650.4 Would I need to change out my car battery when I get the new sub amp? Let me know the best bang for my buck for the new amp. Thanks for your help. Rich Edited January 2, 2012 by RichardJones

D-train-13k
the aq does 510 at 4 ohm. whats your price range? finding an amp thatll do 1000 at 4 ohms wont be cheap the jl is rated at 750 rms. at 3 ohms with the aq youll get about 600-700 if your not wanting to push the sub to its limits then the aq is a good option Edited January 2, 2012 by D-train-13k Quote The IrishmanCheck out my build hereXL 4th order wall build logIn Progress:alpine cda HU4th order Bandpass2xl 15's1- ab 400.1 (gonna be two hopefully)4- Crescendo 8's2- xts crecendo supertweeters 2 sq super tweetsMb quart 4.125Mechman 270a alt1- xs D27003- xs XP3000 4- odessey pc1700seller feed back threadhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/136418-d-train-13k/

Purplehaze
Or you could just buy this one... ZX1000.1 It is rated 600 @4 ohm, 1000 @2 ohm. ****If you have only one JL sub, and it's a d3 ohm, how are you planning on running @4ohm? If that's rt, and you have one d3ohm sub, then you can run at 1.5 ohms or 6 ohms. My amp would be PERFECT @1.5 ohms, and will do more than rated 100% GUARANTEED!!! If it's a d1.5ohm sub, then you can wire to .75ohm or 3 ohm. Any amp that is 1ohm stable would then be what you wanted. Actually that should open the door for you to a lot of options...
