C.Sanchez.A
I need to make a new box for my truck and want to try a 4th order. Right now my sub is in a 3cu.ft. box and every time someone opens the door it gets louder. The sub is a Rockford Fosgat P212S4. 12" single 4 ohm voice coil rated for 300rms. I would like to start building it this weekend. C.Sanchez.A
Would this be to big? 2cubes sealed, 4cubes ported with a 6''x6''x10'' port. Giving it a tuning of 42 give or take. pa-pa-platypus
are you rebuilding because it gets louder when you open the door or just to try a 4th order out? what vehicle? Socky
For a single 12, i would do a higher tuning, such as 48hz or so, because of the big box it will already want to peak low, because the 4 cubes is on the big side. The vehicle is a 1994 Mazda B3000 (Ford Ranger). I'm rebuilding because the box I have was not built for this vehicle and I think this sub would do good in a 4th order. Plus I want to experiment and learn. pa-pa-platypus
alright i was just wondering..and if you were to stick with those dimensions i would go with wat socky said and tuned in the higher 40's...and i would have it loading off of the passenger side wall as that is where those trucks seems to get loudest Quote This isn't teeball.
