Since I started feeding my amp the power it wants, I can now officially reach the mechanical limits of my level 5 (my box was never designed for anything over 1500 watts lol) easily So, if some of you box pros wouldn't mind answering a couple questions What would generally provide more mechanical cone control between 25 and 50hz? 4th order or ported? How musical can 4th orders be made to sound keeping with the keeping emphasis on power handling over a range of frequencies? Who here has put a level 5 in a 4th order and how does it sound? What are some general pros/cons when it comes to 4th order vs. normal ported? Thanks in advance. Sorry for all the questions haha. I've never heard or seen a 4th order in person and I'm just trying to get some input P.S. Mods: let me know if this is an inappropriate topic. He may have experience first hand with the results Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
