HalfWayDecent559 Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 the one i have now is a jvc kdr520 single din.. id like to get either a double din with a large screen or a single din with a motorized 7in touch screen..i use my iPhone so id prefer a usb in front but if its in the back thats fine..dvd player..id like anav system but that seems to bump the price to double the price of one without so does any1 kno of one that i may be able to use my iPhones gps? or maybe pay for the adapter to one that is ready for nav but not installed? but my question to any is is there a better off brand name? i was told if i wanted good speakers to look into names that are not like the rock fords or the kickers and so on..idk if I'm wording it wrong so i hope you understand me. so yea any comments? advice? recommend a site? i don't really kno to many car audio sites that sell products other than crutch field, best buy, act..

IBleedMusick Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 When it comes to something as sensitive as head units you won't really find any off names that make quality lasting HU's. For what you want I would go on ebay and look up used Pioneer Avic units. Any Pioneer HU that says AVIC has nav on the unit and if it ends with a BT it has bluetooth you can find really good deals on older models. Most of them are made for iPod/iPhone so you can control all the settings directly from the unit. I use to have the D3 and the F900BT they are great units the F900 takes a while too load upon initial start but is a great solid unit. I usually suggest Pioneer for HU's just because I know the brand and have used most of their stuff. letemrip32 Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 I checked out their sub/amp combos, and i'm not sure why but they are selling subs with amps at 2x or 3x the power rating of the sub. is that so you will be more likely to meet the power output of the amp and buy another sub?
