Whats The Loudest System You've Ever Heard?

This is a good topic...but IT'S REALLY TOUGH to pin down the loudest.

The louder you hear, the higher your tolerence gets, the more it takes to impress you and from one year to the next technology moves so fast its kinda hard to compare 2 setups unless they're side by side same day same mic and sit in both. That said...

When I built My car (4 CVR 12s sealed getting 1200rms) It was the loudest I had heard...but then I immediately started taking it to comps and I was taking 2nd and 3rd places so there were tonns of folks louder than mine but I never really got to listen to their setups other than while they were in the lanes usually sealed up or one window open.

I met steve at an Extreme AutoFest car show down at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma and I think he took 1st in street C w/ his 2 RF Power HX2 18's in the civic (before it was stolen). I never heard it full tilt from inside, but after the runs in the lanes he was demo-ing it and I put my head in while he was just jamming some bass track and it sounded as best as I remember like my car full tilt but he wasn't even pushing it...I figg'd he had a lot more to give seeing how he bested me by like 6 db that day-his 153.# and mine 148.# on the old A/C mic.

The one that DOES stand out in my mind as the LOUDEST OVERALL to date was at a Sac Raceway CMI car show and usaci event.

Steve was there and some dude he seemed real good buddies with had a Red, Smaller (beater) SUV like a 4runner or rodeo. In the cargo area was one of the ghetto-est looking boxes I'd seen in a while-wood not cut straight or flush, circles cut by some drunk guy w/ a jig saw, raw mdf/no cover material,etc.

But jesus-titty-f*cking christ! THAT setup hurt the most and made me wanna get out.

It consisted of 2 sonic FX 15's (I had never heard of em) and some SURFBOARD sized amps pushing about 5000watts to each 15 I was told. They coulda been US AMPS from the look and he said each was a 2500watt w/ 2 strapped to each woofer so 4 amps total, a few extra batteries just crammed here and there and wires run everywhere. Subs up, slot ported back at the tailgate.

That guy did a 150 or so that day and Steve beat him by 3-4db I think (format was 30 sec avg and car had to be off-I got 2nd place in my class but my score sucked balls-144 i think).

That one made the biggest impression on me EVER including hearing 3 audiobahn 18's in a walled asstro (audiobahn company demo) and 12 JL 15w6s in a Hyundai Excel off PPI amps (which was the previously loudest I'd ever heard).

Like I said-it was a SUPER GHETTO install man! That thing^^^ is Fin KLEEEEN.

and his amps were like 3 of those lil guys end to end.

AND-He only had 2 15's not 4 and the slots were on the bottom edge of the box.

I knew it wasnt a hoe or any domestic for sure but i couldnt put my finger on it.

I was about to say maybe an explorer but still i dint think it was domestic.

It said Sonic FX in red on the back window I think too.

The box was raw (and I mean RAAAWWWWWWW) MDF -and the ride it self was a beeeaaatuuurrrd.

But I never heard anything like it.

The loudest i've heard, currently was a yukon xl denali with a wall of 8 15'' mtx 9500s and autotek amps all behind the 3rd row seat built by dvs kustoms here in san jose, damn...... my ears couldnt handle all of that bass.......

loudest i've heard was Ho Problems truck. Then Frankie Rio's lexus and then my friend Carlos' F250 he had. Gmonk you know who im talking about
