Dax Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Lets say that you are listening to the radio, and a song with tons of bass comes on, would it be ok to play at high volumes, or do songs on the radio clip? HatersGonnaHate Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 They probably do clip, seeing as how they are the same tracks that are on CDs and haven't been cleaned up and whatnot. I personally would never go full tilt on radio songs Quote My name is AdamThis is my Civic Build.7" Samsung Tab 2Kenwood KDC-X896Clarion EQS746Sundown X-15DC 3.5k @2ohmHatersGonnaHate's 02 Civic UBLELD Bypass for Honda Civic/Accord/FitDon's Jeep Grand Cherokee Rebuild N8ball2013 - i think you'd stick your dick in a blender if it told you it was 40 wtih two kids your age. lol srp365 - If posting were picking up bitches, I'd be going home single tonight looks like tony montana sneezed in your car.
Dax Posted January 6, 2012 Author Report Posted January 6, 2012 OK i don't have much to worry about if i did i was just curious. I wonder what causes songs to clip? HatersGonnaHate Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 AC waves turning into DC... Pretty much getting recorded at a higher volume than they need to be. Dax Posted January 6, 2012 Author Report Posted January 6, 2012 oh thats kinda dumb of recording studios to do that than Quote The Midget Looks Into Your Soul 2008 Dodge am 3500HD with the 6.7 Cummins Race Me tuner, dpf deleted kenwood double din cheap walmart speakers for now(infinity reference comps comps coming soon) 2 kicker L5's in a ported box of unknown tuning lol(soon to be changed) Power acoustic 1500.1 on the subs (for now)
HatersGonnaHate Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Lol cuz they don't care about clipping... As long as it sounds good in the booth and they sell records and make money, they don't give a fuck about clipping quite frankly. Decaf Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) i think the problem lies when everything is mixed together and they don't understand there's a finite amount of data and they shouldn't exceed it. but spot on that the ear method is used... i haven't been to a rock concert that didn't have the rack amps blinking red most of the entire show (i usually get floor/general tickets and sound booth tends to be in viewing distance) Edited January 6, 2012 by Decaf Quote

Dax Posted January 6, 2012 Author Report Posted January 6, 2012 yea but rock bands have sick amounts of financing so what do they care if they blow a few subs amps, i wish i had that kinda money then i would be rocking 6 lvl 6 18's on at least 50k watts and i could be like to all the haters Quote The Midget Looks Into Your Soul 2008 Dodge am 3500HD with the 6.7 Cummins Race Me tuner, dpf deleted kenwood double din cheap walmart speakers for now(infinity reference comps comps coming soon) 2 kicker L5's in a ported box of unknown tuning lol(soon to be changed) Power acoustic 1500.1 on the subs (for now)
