Currently I'm running 2 alpine type-r's and CDT EF-61FG PRO - EuroFrame 6.5" 2 Way Components with MTX Thunder TA5601 amp and Cadence ZRS-1502 amp. I am looking to upgrade my subs, but am not sure how much more my alt can take before I need to replace it with a high output alt. How many watts rms should a 125 amp alternator be able to output and safely power the other car's electronics?

I dont know the equation but im guessing about 50 amps or less are left for your system. Your stock alternator wouldn't be stressed off of stock electronics, and should be able to power up to 900 watts safely daily. You have a 600rms amp and a 500rms amp... Like said, upgrade the primary battery and big 3 Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Like said, upgrade the primary battery and big 3 Sorry I wasn't clear there. I meant upgrading the subs and a new amp to power the new subs. I am not exactly sure how loud I want to go yet.
