kevgnar
I recently purchased a Zv1 on CACO and was wondering what sundown recones would work. I'm looking to have around 1.5k - 2k rms going to the woofer. I was told the Zv2 is way too loose and was wondering if a NIGHTSHADE drop-in recone would work. Thanks in advance!! BeAlLsTaR13
what about the zv2 made it "loose"? youd be best off emailing jacob about it, well he is going to be at CES, and wont be able to answer emails on the matter until jan. 18th, but you can email brandon who will be able to most likely help you out he'll be able to let you know if the zv3 will work, or nightshade parts [email protected] Quote Team Sundown Audio**CURRENT** -- 2012 Scion tC Build Click Here **OLD** -- 2002 Pontiac Grand AM Build Click Herecheck them out, slap me a comment2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE 2.2l 4 cylinder ecotec.-------------------------------------------------------------------Head Unit - Alpine CDA-9887Subs - 2x Z 12 v.2s - v.3 + NS Soft partsAmplifier - Sundown Audio SAZ-3500DEnclosure - 3.33 Cubes tuned to 34.66hzFront Stage - JBL P660c 6.5" ComponentsRear Deck - Powerbass 4xl 6.5" Mid-RangeFront Stage Amplifier - Sundown Audio SAX-100.4DWires - Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, KnuKonceptz 1/0, Knu 4 and 8 Gauge, Kicker RCAsElectrical - 275 AMP DC Power H/O Alternator, XS Power S3400, XS Power D2700Videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/BeAILsTaR13-------------------------------------------------------------------
audiofanaticz
Im almost certain you are limited to the zv1 coil in that motor. All the other model motors (zv2, zv3, nightshade v2) have a bit more girth to the coil. Im not sure about the zv3, but the zv2 and nightshade v2 are way to big of coils to fit the gap. The zv1 coil can also be used in the nightshades v1 as well and the DD9500 motors. You would be able to use whatever cone he has for it, same for the spdiers. Spiders from the zv3 or the nightshade v2 would work. As for power handling, it would come down to power being clean, and a correct box. I dont see why it wouldnt be able to handle 1500ish rms tho. here is a picture of the zv1 coil.
