5704 alarm install ... HELP w/remote start & door locks

Recommended Posts

Hey All, like to say thanks to watabeast and ktraughb for the help this whole time... with the alarm install.. on my Toyota Highlander 2007 with a 5704 viper alarm/remote start.

ktraughb gave the advice just to buy a xk01 module for the doorlocks but decided to just do the install with hard wiring the door locks and was hoping If someone has a directfax 1070 file that can be emailed to me. Its pretty much the only thing left to figure out.... If anyone can help that would be great thanks again. as for the install.. think i got most. down.

I actually was going to buy it but places I would call for it would say its better to hard wire it instead of spending the money and it was more effective this way.

So Im guessing out of luck with getting a directfax 1070 copy?

Does anyone know which harness is the key sensor wire in?? how many wires does the plug have in which its in? and is the plug black or white?

They'll tell you that because they have a directechs account and can do it easily. But youd have to rbing it in to them to do.

Alright Guys .... For now the only thing NOT working is that it doesnt LOCK the doors and it wont crank to remote start the car... the alarm and the unlock features does work.

Any input.... heres what I did for the door locks... please give any input... The remote unlock output.. I divided with diodes into unlock and unlock detection then the Lock I divided into Lock and relay #86. Also I broke the unlock detection into 2 and one side to relay #30 to unlock detection lock side and 87a to unlock detection car side. #87 is a neutral and #85 is 12v.... Is this correct? I need to look again to see if I did the diodes correctly on both.

And on the remote start... well it does try.. it turns on the car but it wont crank. Im using a 5704 viper w/ PKALL w/data cable.

here the diagram how I installed...

Ignition 1 input/output h3/1 TO Ignition 1

Red/white ignition 2 h3/2 to 12v constant

orange accessory output h3/3 to accessorys

violet starter output (car side) h3/4 to starter 1 black

green starter input (key side) h3/5 to starter 2 blk/white

red fused 30a ignition 1 input h3/6 to 12v constant

pink/white ignition 2/ flex output h3/7 to ignition 2 green

pink/blk flex relay input 87a key side to N/A

red/blk fused 30a accessory/starter input to 12v constant.

ANY INPUT I would truely appericate.... Thanks

First off.. you said you connected your alarms accessory output to all off the accessories. They need to be isolated with relays. you dont want to tie the circuits together.

you have two starter wires in the car?

again, relays to isolate each individual starter wire. cut starter wires, green key side, purple starter side.

If you only have 1 starter, disregard relay
