alpine type s and r

I want to put some speakers in my 2001 Camry. I have type s door speakers and type r for the rear speakers. My car came with the jbl sound package where there is a amp running them. Should I get a new amp to run them or use the one in it? If so what amp and size?

What head-unit do you have? After market, stock, some jbl? chances are that you can get a better speaker amp. If you are feeling froggy you may even be able to get a few boxed 6x9s to add to your system.

personally, I would start looking at Rockford amps. They cost a little bit, yes. However, they are damn good amps.

Money isn't a issue. Just want it all to sound great. I have a 1000/1 jl mono pushing a 15 so need the ddoor speakers to keep up. I have a Kenwood hu.

with what you have, the next thing i would do is replace the stock amp.. as listed above, rockford fosgate amps are a very good choice, also jl audio makes a nice 4 channel that would match you sub amp.

i would also recommend running a decent 16 gauge wire to help get all your power to your speakers, in place of the stock wiring
