I get in a pinch sometimes and have to get parts from local shops, and its a nightmare..... 80% of the don't know what OFC and CCA is.... On shop is installing peal n seal as dynamat, running 4ga power wore to a Memphis bell.... the big one... another shop says you can't recone a blow treo sub, another shop sees not purpose for 0ga period.... Only two shops I trust, and I know the owners of both. I know why they charge what they charge. Yes they sell a lot of cheap product, but the average consumer doesn't need two sets of 3 ways per door. 3k plus on sub stage, 4 runs of 0ga through the car. Most of us bass heads on forums can't compare what we do with our cars, to what local shops do. Hell i get more of a kick at watching all the high and mighty forum members on this very forum who dont even fuse thier wires, or dont run crossovers whatsoever to components, or run cheap shit becasue its just as good. He came back and a speaker didn't work, I took the stereo out and the wires were twisted and electrical taped one of the wires untwisted.
