well i thought i understood why these mono amps had 2 "A and B" channels for wiring speakers up

but now i am confused and was wondering if someone could send me a link, or explain to me how this works

why do they say mono amp but have 2 + and 2 -

how do you wire them to subs..

example t10001bd wired to 1 fi bl

or t10001bd wired to 2 fi ssd's

sorry if this question seems stupid i just cant find anything to teach me

or help me understand

basically the amplifier is internally bridged right guys?

so no matter if you use the positive and negative on one channel or the other it will still act bridged.

it should be the same eather way, my old mtx 500d was like that, its internally bridged into 2channels just to make it easyer on wireing cause most of the mtx show trucks only use one side of the pos n neg's, it should be the same on each side but if u hooked like 2ohm to a and 2ohm to b it will set the amp to 1ohm, i think chode used it like that for runnin 2 subs, each at 2ohm to the amp makes it alot cleaner looking and easyer to hook up, but whats wierd about my amp is, its internally bridged into 2 channels but u can bridge those 2 channels to i dont get it, its like +speaker1- +speaker2- i dont get it why companys do this b

|______bridge_______|

maby to make it look kewler i dunno or just a more efficent way of hookin em up, hope the answers ur question mayne and good luck with it just make sure that what ohm load u hook to each will step eachother down in the middle like a 4ohm to a and 4ohm to b=2ohm to amp B)

thanks man

im not actually doing this

im just reading a lot and trying to learn more

but im still slighty confused

so its internaly bridged so

if you use the "A" channel or "b" channel either or not both

you will still be getting the rms out of the amp?

and if you use both how much does each side put out?

whether you use the A or B channel each channel puts out the same rms. let's just say you have two subs with a mono amp ........... you can run one sub on the A channel and one on the B channel, they are bridged to only one channel though. having two speakers inputs on a mono amp just makes it easier to hook up more than one speaker but it's still a one channel(mono) amp though.

the amp is a rf t10001bd if you cant read the writing

and the subs are 2 12" fi ssd Dual 1 ohm

i dont know for sure though is

do you wire the subs in series like in the diagram or in parallel "+to+ -to-" on each sub to get the 2ohm load?
