Sergeant_Skyrim Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 In comparison to just building a regular ole' ported box for these 12s, what benefits would a 4th order give me over ported? Maybe better frequency range, louder, etc.? And if I have them firing ass out in the sealed section (1 cu ft per) would I be looking at somewhere around 4 cu ft after displacement in the ported section? Just trying to get an idea of how much space I'm going to need in the trunk if I were to go 4th order over ported. Thanks to anybody who helps! I've read that you want to tune the ported section to the high end of the bandpass you're looking for (sorry if I've used the wrong terminology). So then how do you figure out how low it'll play?
