keeping steering wheel control

I just picked up a 2003 ford explorer. It has steering wheel radio controls my wife want to keep. Id like to know if there is a certin haedunit I should look for that would allow me to keep this option or is it a certin item that i can use to keep my wheel controls.

There's a module that you install and program along with the wiring harness

Just make sure you get the correct module

Are you saying I could use any headunit?

You can use "any" headunit. I prefer Kenwoods because they are the easiest to hookup because they have a steering wheel control wire in the harness.

Use the ASWC harness from Axxess(Metra). Setup is straightforward just go to their website and it explains EXACTLY what to hookup and how. I use them all the time and they work pisser.
