baaudio
Okay so I may be getting two amps soon and might run both to one sub. I know ill have to match AC output of both and will use my DMM for that. My plan is to set both amps with the dd-1 then measure ac output on same 40 Hz tone and match the lower one of the two. Just confirming if this is the best way to go about this. Amps are identical. They are strappable but only at 2 ohm and woofer is dual 2. In gonna run one amp at 1 ohm daily then chain them together for comps if I'm still running a single woofer setup Edited January 20, 2012 by baaudio Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
Decaf
if you have a dual 2ohm sub you can only wire to 1ohm or 4ohm at the amp(s)
baaudio
Ya I know read my last section. That's what I'm doing daily. But for comps I wanna run both amps. They're class gh does 2000 @ 1 and 1500 @ 2 so it'd be a gain of 50% power wise. skittlesRgood
set one amp with the DD1. then measure the AC output of that amp. next, set the second amp to that same AC output. now your gains will be matched and safe. baaudio
No it would be one coil per amp. That's why I wanna match them. Skittles thanks for the answer. That's what I was thinking would be the right way. I just couldn't say it as clearly.
