fecupe2001
I recently bass raced a perfect 139.9 3 times in a row, using a single 30$ 10" pioneer sub and 300 watts, burped a 140.6 , so no, you don´t necessarily need a 42 or 43 to bass race on the 139.9 class, BUT, it´s way easier for you if you can hit around there, bass racing a 139.9 below 141 dbs on a burp requires a perfect start I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. fecupe2001
What´s your box specs? you are peaking close to the cabin frequency so that´s always a good help, but yeah i hear ya, peaking that high isn´t the best for a daily application for a guy that likes lows, if that´s your case I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. ilovebass808
Thanks. But I was just itching for that 140.0, but I didn't wanna blow anything. Lol I tried 49hz to but that didn't help my score. You got any ideas on what your gonna do next to help increase your score? Like a new box, subs or amp? TRTC360
Well right now im running a ported prefab (shame on me ) and its tuned to 36 but theres simply not enough port area and cubic feet in the box for these subs. I plan on building my next box as big as it will fit in the given space I have I know its not gonna be over 4 cubes after all displacement. I was gonna try to make the box with interchangable aero ports with 30hz daily tuning and 42hz comp tuning. ilovebass808
That's what I was thinking to. My box right now is tuned to 34hz and it is a daily box. But I'll probably have interchangeable ports next time to. You thinking about getting a H/O alt to? I think I gotta get that before I do anything else. Lol then after I'll get 3k amp, new sub and more batts. But that's gonna take me awhile. Lol Check out my build! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/129983-99-chevy-s10-build-log/

TRTC360
Im running 100% stock electrical besides a 185 amp alt. on a fresh charge and the engine cold i stay in the 13s full tilt for about 2-3 sings but after giving demos and driving i need to keep my rpm up to stay in the 12s. I dont plan on dropping the amp down to .5 at all on this electrical and i dont want to risk blowing the subs. Ill stick to building a good box to get the numbers i want.
