FCsteve Posted December 1, 2007 Report Share Posted December 1, 2007 ok. my buddy has a lanzar amp connected to two audiobahn 12's, i connected the amp and it was running great for about 5 minutes. then he turned off his car and the posetive fuse blew instantly. if you put the fuse back in without the posetive battery connected it goes in fine. but if you connect the posetive lead it blows again. the front blue LED stays lit tho when the car is on. i am thinking his battery puts out more power then the amp can handle . we need to figure this out quick because he has to go to work at 3. this is the second amp he has bought so buying a new one is out of the question. what do you guys think ?? 610EUROs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dmanson Posted December 3, 2007 Report Share Posted December 3, 2007 whenever installing a fuse always disconnect the negative first not positive ........ place the fuse in and then connect the negative and you shouldn't have a problem. i use to blow fuses left and right with unhooking just the positive and not the negative and then i learned to just unhook the negative and leave the positive hooked up. try and see if that works. 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.
