RooTxBeeR Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I was wondering, and I know that the higher the imdependance, the less power an amp will put out, but it is more efficient. Has anyone ever done something like what I am about to say? Say you have a (set) sub(s), and you wire a T1500.1bdCP to it(them) at 1 Ohm. You'll get roughly around 1800-1900 watts. Now lets say you use the same set up, but use a T2500.1bdCP at 4 ohm, which would put about the same power out. Has anyone ever done something like this, and noticed any difference in the performance or SQ of the bass? RickyFriery97 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I have a RF T2500BDCP running @ 2 ohm and I can't tell any difference, but I've also never ran it under 1 ohm Once I get my second XL 18" in I will be dropping the ohm load to 1 ohm so I guess I'll find out then, I don't think it will be any noticeable difference though 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer

If i got the the T2500 instead i would just wire down to 1 ohm to get more power. If i got the the T2500 instead i would just wire down to 1 ohm to get more power. x2 i dont honestly think it would make much of a difference but im not entirely sure. if your going to pay for the extra power why not put it to good use?

I'd rather stick to around 1k a piece for daily use. I was just curious that is all.
