thegr8cody
im thinking about screwing 2x4's to the floor and building off those that away my box has a place to sit on. and shoot some screws through the bottom of the box. and run to 2x4's up from the front and screw it to them to keep it from sliding forwards and backwards, any other ideas will help im starting the 2x4's probably tomorrow Quote 1998 gmc sierra h/u:eclipse cd3200 sub:dd9518g d1.5 amp:jl e300/4 sub amp:dd m2a front stage:id ctx65cs dc power 270 alt lots of kicker 1/
roscoe1129
that should cover it just make sure your using something like 1/4" by 2 1/2 - 3" lags and not just screws and check your clearance underneath first! roscoe1129
also some liquid nails will do wonders in areas you cant put the bolts due to clearance issues ( gas tank)....if your on the raw metal and not carpet.... thegr8cody
yea puncturing the gas tank wouldnt be good lol.now i just gotta find somebody with a kickass drill for the screws.its gonna suck having a wall for a month with only 1 sub that cant be played.will i lose any output by having the port on the top by the roof? thats my only concern thats the only way i can find to fit the port.and im starting to think 30hz is to low for a 17 - 18 cubic foot box for only 2 18's and 250 sq in port? mrwigglezdj
o wow, were supposed to lag bolt our walls down?.....mine has some regular 3 inch screws going thru the floor and then to hold the top i have 2x4s wedegd between the box and the roof of the van and on the passenger side of the wall up towards the wall where the side door track is located it sticks out a little so the box is hung up on that part as well....
