It's looking real good dude! That box is beefy

corner bracing FTW. they look nice. I like the attention to detail.

Thanks guys! :drinks:

I guess I may as well update this thread.

Didnt get much done the last few days, Ive had a lot of HIDs to install the last few nights, also had my State Farm insurance adjuster over here as well as a few roofing companies to give estimates.

About a week ago now my bedroom ceiling started to drip water pretty bad. My house is a 2 story, I live downstairs and I rent out the upstairs. In the back of the house where my bedroom is loacted there is a deck above my room which has a rubber roof. Wisconsin has been having 1 hell of a winter so far, its usually 25-45 degrees during the day and around 10-20 at night. We been getting a lot of rain and a little snow here and there. But what has been happening is the snow melts in the day and freezes at night and on days it rains its even worse. So this water that is pooled up in spots has been seeping under the seems of the rubber roof and when it freezes the water expands and tearing open the seems slightly, then the ice melts and runs into the roof, only to do the same the next day and so on causing my ceiling to leak....

So far State Farm will only cover my interior damage to the ceiling (not the roof which is the cause of the problem)..... To make it better at first they only wanted to cover the damage spots, until I explaned to the guy how the roof beams run and how the insulation is 10 foot sections between the rafters and is shot since its wet. This guy knows nothing at all. He is so stupid and thinks that I can patch the spots that are wet.... Oh and he said that the insulation will be fine once it dries out...... He said the roof is not cover because "Its not an act of god), usually insurance companies say they dont cover acts of god such as floods and tornados.. So Im fighting tooth and nail with State Farm since in black ink in my policy book it says "Ice and water causing damage to roof is covered".

As for my bedroom ceiling which they will cover I dont care much about because its cheap to fix and I can do it myself, However Im not a roofer, nor know how to do a rubber roof.

/rant

So here is a couple images from inside my room... Not bad that I have a bunch of black mold on my drywall and its only been a week. But all I need to do is patch the little sections and not replace the full ceiling........

So I got the baffles cut out and called it a night.

Rounded over the edge which will be on the inside of the box too.

Inside of the box all marked out on the first baffle to go on the box so I have lines to follow when it gets nailed on

second baffle

3rd baffle which is to flush woofers. Total 2.25inches thick with all 3 baffles!

The comment on 4th orders for the SP4

As a general guideline, Qts of 0.4 or below indicates a subwoofer well suited to a vented enclosure. Qts between 0.4 and 0.7 indicates suitability for a sealed enclosure. Qts of 0.7 or above indicates suitability for free-air or infinite baffle applications.

The qts of the SP4 is .48

Hmmmm interesting how you want to be a smart ass when you are educating someone else but when it happens to you, you play a childish game. Nice!!!

Your theory's are constantly proved wrong, with the biased battery tests that you have done and have no proof of, to the thread with bob wires on how your some great big engineer and could easily pass the MECP Masters corse and know all there is to know, to this thread...

First of all, I never said its a childish game.

Secondly, the woofers are not made for 4th orders only (as jd and you are trying to claim), nor does Fi state on their website or any forums that they are (even tho jd read that, but interpreted it all completely wrong) a forth order woofer only. Just because it may perform better in a sealed box or a 4th order box does not mean it can only be used in 4th order only.

It is you with the big know it all ego, not I.
